Once the composting process is finished it is brought over to a purpose built all concrete Mix Pad were it goes through the final process of being turned into potting media or mixed with client/nursery specific additives to produce their custom mix.
From the start of the compost process until loading onto delivery trucks there is constant on-site testing to meet strict quality control procedures and customers requirements.

0-5mm Composted Extra Fine Slash This product is the result of Extra Fine Slash Bark going through a detailed composting procedure giving it great moisture retention and air filled porosity. This product is used as base for propagation mix and may be added to general media to achieve higher density and media moisture retention. |

0-10mm Composted Fine Slash Used as the base for Bassett Barks H40 Potting mix this product is the result of Fine Slash Bark going through a detailed composting procedure. This product may be blended with other Bassett Barks composted products to attain either higher or lower air filled porosities, moisture retentions and densities. |

5-10mm Composted Course Fine Slash This product is the result of Course Fine Slash Bark going through a detailed composting procedure giving it great moisture retention and air filled porosity. This product is used where higher air filled porosity is needed or blended with other Bassett Barks composted products to attain a more open and free draining environment for your plants. |

15mm Composted Horticultural Slash This product is the result of 15mm Slash Bark going through a detailed composting procedure producing a chunky, open, fast draining product making ideal medium for Orchids etc. |

H40 Potting Mix H40 Potting Mix is a widely used Media base in wholesale nurseries, retail garden centres and home gardens. H40 Potting Mix is a blend of Composted Fine Slash and washed river sand giving it a very good balance of water holding and air filled porosity making it the ideal media for a vast range of plant types. This Bassett Barks Potting mix passes the Australian Standards for regular grade media and is used for the base for premium grade potting mix. |

Propagation Mix Bassett Barks Propagation Mix is a specially formulated blend of Propagation base and washed river sand. Bassett's Propagation Mix, as with H40 Potting Mix, is adaptable to a wide range of applications through its proven yet simple composition. By utilizing the Propagation base, Bassett Barks have been able to produce a mix which has superior performance characteristics similar to H40 Potting Mix while still providing a superlative environment to sustain the delicate requirements for root and top growth in seedlings and tubestock. |
